Day by Day Program
Day 01: Arrival in Arusha & Safari in Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Arusha Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your Still Waters Safaris driver-guide. From there, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, a gem known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. As you enter the park, you’ll be immersed in a world of wildlife, with opportunities to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and a host of other species. The day will be spent on exhilarating game drives, exploring the park’s varied terrain and observing the animals in their natural habitat. As the day winds down, you’ll retreat to the serene Marera Valley Lodge, where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 02: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you’ll set out for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site often hailed as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes before you descend into the crater, a vast caldera that is home to an astonishing array of wildlife. Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to see the Big Five—lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and buffaloes—along with numerous other species, including flamingos that gather around the crater’s central lake. The full day of game drives will leave you in awe of nature’s beauty and the richness of Tanzania’s wildlife. In the evening, you’ll return to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and another restful night.
Day 03: Lake Manyara National Park & Departure
Your final day begins with a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and the unique spectacle of tree-climbing lions. As you explore the park, you’ll encounter hippos, flamingos, and an abundance of birdlife, set against the stunning backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment. The morning game drive offers a perfect conclusion to your safari, as you soak in the last moments of this incredible journey. Following the game drive, you’ll proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, carrying with you memories of an extraordinary Tanzanian safari.
