Day by Day Program
Day 01: Arrival in Arusha & Safari in Tarangire National Park
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Still Waters Safaris driver-guide will meet you. From there, you’ll embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The park is a haven for a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest. Spend the day on exciting game drives, exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and observing the wildlife in their natural habitats. As the sun sets, you will proceed to Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in this serene and comfortable setting.
Day 02: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, a place of endless plains and abundant wildlife. The drive offers stunning views as you transition from the highlands of Karatu to the expansive Serengeti plains. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on afternoon game drives, where you can witness the incredible diversity of animals that call the Serengeti home, including the Big Five and, depending on the season, the Great Migration. In the evening, you will settle in at Moyo Tented Camp, where you’ll experience the thrill of staying in the heart of the wilderness, with the sounds of nature all around you.
Day 03: Serengeti National Park & Ngorongoro Crater
Rise early for a morning game drive in the Serengeti, where the soft light of dawn offers prime opportunities for wildlife photography. Watch as the savannah comes to life, with predators on the hunt and herds of grazers moving across the plains. Later in the day, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, making your way to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you’ll stay overnight at Ngorongoro Embalakai Camp, an intimate and eco-friendly camp that provides a perfect base for your next day’s adventure into the crater.
Day 04: Ngorongoro Crater & Departure
On your final day, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most unique and wildlife-rich environments on the planet. The crater floor is a natural amphitheater filled with a diverse range of animals, including elephants, lions, black rhinos, and a variety of bird species. After a morning of game drives and taking in the incredible scenery, you’ll ascend the crater and begin your journey back to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll catch your flight home or continue to your next destination.
