Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you'll be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in, get an introduction to your itinerary, and then you may choose to explore the vibrant city of Arusha, visiting local museums or artisan stalls, before preparing for your safari adventure.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a renowned hidden gem. Enjoy a guided morning and afternoon game drive through its iconic landscapes, characterized by ancient baobab trees and riverine woodlands, seeking out large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, and other diverse wildlife.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Embark on a journey from Karatu towards the Serengeti National Park. Stop at the world-renowned Olduvai Gorge, the 'Cradle of Mankind,' to learn about human evolution. Continue to a traditional Maasai village to experience their rich culture and traditions. Conclude the day with a thrilling afternoon game drive in the Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Delve deeper into the Serengeti wilderness with an immersive full-day guided game drive. Witness the daily drama of the wild, from lions on the hunt and cheetahs in pursuit, to elephants at watering holes and vast herds of zebra and wildebeest traversing the endless plains. Connect with the natural rhythms of this untamed landscape.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Experience another day of profound connection with nature in the Serengeti. Set out for morning and afternoon game drives to search for elusive leopards, observe the majestic 'Big Five,' and soak in the breathtaking vastness of the savannah. Return to camp for an evening of relaxation, enveloped by the sounds of the bush.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Journey from the Serengeti to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, descending onto its floor for a truly exceptional safari. This 'Lost Eden' offers one of the best chances to spot the 'Big Five,' including the critically endangered black rhino, alongside large elephant herds, abundant lions, and a formidable hyena clan.
Day 7: Arusha
Enjoy a scenic drive back to Arusha from the Karatu highlands, taking in the picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your accommodation where you'll have lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for relaxation or last-minute souvenir shopping in Arusha.
Day 8: Materuni Waterfalls - Departure
Embark on a full-day cultural and natural adventure to Materuni Village. Hike through lush landscapes to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, where you can swim in the natural pool. Visit a local Chagga coffee farm to learn about traditional coffee production from bean to brew, enjoying a fresh cup. Afterwards, return to the lodge before transferring to the airport for your departure.
