Every journey we operate already includes AMREF Flying Doctors evacuation cover within Tanzania. A Global Rescue membership is the layer above that: it reaches you from the point of illness or injury rather than the nearest airstrip, it follows you outside Tanzania, and it brings a medical advisory team into your corner from the first phone call.
Global Rescue notes that an unsupported medical evacuation can run to six figures. For members, evacuation carries no additional cost. We do not earn your trust by hoping nothing happens, but by making sure it is covered if it does.

Travel Insurance
A different instrument entirely: financial reimbursement for trip cancellation, interruption, delays and baggage. It pays money back; it does not come to find you.
Climbing Kilimanjaro?
Standard memberships do not cover evacuation above a set altitude. If Kilimanjaro is on your itinerary, add the high-altitude evacuation option when you enrol. It is a small addition that becomes the entire point of the membership at 5,000 metres.
